Key benefits
Consistent fuelling is essential for endurance, performance, and recovery. During runs over 60 minutes, the body burns through stored carbohydrates, leading to fatigue and slower recovery if not replenished. Puresport Energy Gels provide 30g of DualCarb™ energy in an optimal glucose-to-fructose ratio, helping you sustain energy, avoid gut discomfort, and bounce back faster. Designed with runners in mind, the light, natural Berry flavour makes fuelling simple, enjoyable, and effective, in training and on race day.

I’ve been using the Berry Energy Gels on my runs, and they’ve quickly become my go-to.
First thing I look for is how they sit on the stomach, and these are spot on. No discomfort, no heaviness, just steady energy when I need it. The consistency is easy to take mid-run without breaking stride, and the flavour is actually enjoyable without being overly sweet or artificial.
I’ve used them on both shorter sessions and longer runs, and they give a reliable lift without any crash. For me, that consistency is key, especially when you’re pushing pace or going the distance.
Simple, effective, and easy to use. Exactly what you want from an energy gel.

Really great tasting gels!!!!

My just turned 15 year old girl is trying these out for a pre training carbs boost. She is in recovery for REDS, so we are looking for ways to increase her carb intake around exercise. She’s had other gels and finds these more liquid but sweet. We may try the non flavoured ones next. Early days to see how they work out. We like the idea that they are for runners…
Teresa H.4/5Verified
As far as gels go these are probably the best that I have used. Easy to digest and the flavours are great. Used for my half marathon the other day and helped to keep me fuelled. Would highly recommend.

Love these gels!! Been using them with my half marathon training, they’re great! Taste is amazing and consistency is just right. Perfect pairing with their electrolytes!
Stephanie5/5Verified
Really excellent product: sometimes I just run out of bananas playing tennis and these gel sachets give pretty rapid energy and concentration boost. The flavours are ok, though I’d prefer a vanilla option. :raised_hands::raised_hands::raised_hands:

Absolutely love these gels. Tried
Absolutely love these gels.
Tried one from a friend while doing Total Warrior and I was very surprised with taste and texture. Since then I have bought my own box and I use them on my longer runs. They are tasty, texture similar to honey I'd say and very easy in the stomach.
Shelley B.5/5Verified
Taste great and deliver solid energy to get me through some tough sessions
Robert G.5/5Verified
Found these good, initially struggled to open when on long runs, however I found putting a small snip in the top before my run made them easy to open. Like how the package is designed to keep the top attached.
Paul E.4/5Verified
The energy gels taste so much better than any of the other brands I've tried.
Liam G.5/5Verified
Great taste and appear to be keeping me fuelled through my long runs - one every 5k for runs of 15k or longer.
Geraint P.5/5Verified
Great flavour, and do feel the benefit of them gives you an instant boost
Adam J.5/5Verified
Excellent taste and quick absorption.
Anand L.5/5Verified
These are brilliant gels 👌
Kev5/5Verified
Best gels I’ve had so far!
Joseph K.5/5Verified
Work well and no GI issues. I’m generally not a fan of gels but I would recommend these. Only reason for 4 stars is they can be a bit fiddly to consume on the move but perhaps I just need a bit more practise
Sarah S.4/5Verified
The gel worked quite well for me and got me through an ultra trail. My only comment is that the packaging material could be a bit softer, as it’s not always easy to squeeze all the gel out. It’s not a major issue, but compared with another gel I normally use, it takes a bit more effort to empty the packet completely.

Best gels on the market
Goldilocks gels! Texture is not too thick but not runny. Taste great and no preservatives!
Declan C.5/5Verified
Very good product :ok_hand: effective for my recent boiling hot 10k race in wilmslow.
Stephen W.5/5Verified
I bought these training for Hyrox, had used other brands but these are by far the best. Taste and consistency are spot on and they don’t cause stomach upset like other brands. They 100% improve endurance during runs. Would definitely recommend.
Jennifer R.5/5Verified
Love the taste!
These gels are great! I love the packaging - they tear easily when needed and I never have a problem opening these even with sweaty fingers (like I do with some). Taste is lovely - not too strong or too weak and they do seem to help my energy levels. Very impressed overall

Why do I need gels?
Your body’s stored carbs run out in about 90 minutes. Gels top up your energy so you avoid “the wall” and keep moving strong.
How does it work?
Each gel delivers 30g of carbs in a gut-friendly glucose–fructose blend, so you absorb more energy with less stomach stress.
When do I take it?
If you’re exercising for 60 minutes or more, take one every 30 minutes to keep energy steady and support recovery.
Why Puresport?
Most gels are overcomplicated. Ours are simple: natural flavourings, nothing unnecessary.
ExoAnalytics Testing: The Science Behind “We’ve Run the Numbers for You”
What We Did
We partnered with Dr Sam Impey and ExoAnalytics, experts in performance nutrition, to test how much of the carbohydrate from our gels is actually used as fuel during exercise.
How It Works
Athletes consumed Puresport Gels during controlled runs, with each gel traced using Carbon-13 isotopes. Breath samples showed exactly how much carbohydrate was burned for energy versus what stayed in the gut.
What We Found
The group’s average oxidation rate was 49 g/hour. When adjusted for real-world efficiency (≈80%), that equals 60 g/hour— perfectly matching our guidance:one gel every 30 minutes.
What It Means for Runners
Most runners perform best fuelling at~60 g/hour. One Puresport Gel every 30 minutes keeps energy steady, delays fatigue, and speeds up recovery between sessions.

Carbohydrate availability becomes increasingly important as exercise duration increases. For most runners, the biggest challenge with fuelling is not knowing that carbohydrate matters - it’s making it simple enough to actually do without any digestive issues. Puresport’s gels make that easier to manage by giving runners a measured 30 grams of carbohydrate per serving, using a glucose-fructose blend that is designed to support higher carbohydrate delivery during endurance exercise.
