5 Common Myths About CBD, Debunked

Demystifying CBD:

With its growing popularity and a wide range of potential health benefits, CBD has gained a strong following by its advocates. However, many misconceptions and myths continue to surround CBD, and finding straight-talking answers can be hard.

Puresport wants to set the standard on CBD products, informing our community on what exactly CBD is, where it comes from, and what its actual benefits could be.

We believe in the power of our CBD products in enhancing all aspects of people’s personal wellbeing - both mentally and physically. We believe CBD has the power to help more people discover natural wellness, and reject what we call 'the quick fix mentality', which can lead us in treating the symptoms of poor health, rather than seeing our health and wellbeing as an opportunity to enrich ourselves in the long-term, and work on wellness from a preventative angle.

Does CBD Work?

5 Myths About CBD, Debunked:

#1 CBD Is Basically Cannabis

CBD is found in the hemp plant – like cannabis. However the chemical composition of the two substances are different. Cannabis contains THC – a psychoactive compound that gives you a ‘high’, can sometimes be addictive, and, in many countries, is still illegal.

As CBD contains 0% THC it is fully legal in the UK, not addictive, and not psychoactive.

#2 CBD Is Addictive:

In a comprehensive review from the World Health Organisation, CBD was deemed as non-addictive. This is because it contains 0% THC.

In some cases, CBD has been linked to supporting reducing dependencies on illegal substances, without itself being addictive or harmful.

Is CBD Legal?

#3 CBD Is Illegal

#4 CBD Doesn’t Work

#5 CBD Is Unregulated

The Food Standard Agency released new standards as of March 2021 to introduce new safety standards.

Puresport aims to raise and set industry standards for CBD regulation. Our CBD is the first in the world to be approved by the Banned Substance Control group (BSCG). Each bottle/jar is tripled batch tested by 3 different independent organisations, ensuring that every batch contains no herbicides, pesticides, synthetics, or THC.
