CBD stands for cannabidiol, and it is one of the main active ingredients in cannabis. CBD has been known for a long time, first being discovered way back in 1940, though research into its effects has only just started taking place. In many places, the active ingredient within the cannabis plant, CBD, is legal while the cannabis plant itself still remains illegal. THC is the main psychoactive ingredient in the cannabis plant, meaning that it’s the one that gets you high.
